“Carew-Hopkins”
So whats in a name. I am constantly asked from whence my name came. I was simply born with it.
The exact reason why the ‘Carew’ was incorporated into the family name has been lost to history. It goes back many generations as middle name for everyone in the family. Until my fathers time, there was no hyphen. Today all the other branches of the family are ‘Hopkins’, except for the Australia branch.
