Brian Carew Hopkins

Brian Carew-Hopkins

Founder of VooGlue and the Decentralised Art Gallery (DAG). I build authenticity and provenance technology for physical fine art, and I have a long track record across technology ventures, public-sector delivery roles, and business transactions.

What I do now

I’m the founder of VooGlue and DAG. The business is under operational management. My founder-level focus is product direction, defensible innovation and intellectual property, partnerships, and strategic options.

What I’m known for

  • Building technology that binds verified information to real-world assets (fine art), with a strong emphasis on authenticity and provenance
  • Developing protected inventions (patents, and earlier design/trademark work) over a ~30-year period
  • Delivery in environments that require governance, accountability, and practical outcomes (including government)
  • Transaction and value-creation work with business owners (including M&A-related work)
  • Maintaining an active fine-art practice alongside technology work (revelationism), including works that can incorporate VooGlue as part of the viewing experience

Selected career chapters

  • 1990s: founded and scaled a technology-led aviation education and training business in Singapore
  • Public-sector: director-level market/export development leadership roles, including work reflected in parliamentary record
  • Transactions: worked with owners on growth, value creation, and transaction readiness (including business transactions / M&A-related work)
  • 2016–present: founded DAG/VooGlue and led the development of the platform and its authentication infrastructure through to an operating business
